Learners Global Initiative.
Jakarta, Indonesia, October 15, 2024. INAmikro has partnered with Thunderbird School of Global Management (Thunderbird) at Arizona State University (ASU) to launch the Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative across Indonesia. The Global Initiative is powered by Thunderbird School of Global Management, prominent with its distinguished faculty and reputation as the vanguard in global leadership and management education (No. 1 in the world in international trade as ranked by QS International Trade Rankings 2024), and Arizona State University, ranked No. 1 for innovation in the United States for nine consecutive years (U.S. News & World Report).
The Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative offers online, global education in 40 different languages, at absolutely no cost to the learner. Women and young women will account for 70% of the 100 million learners the program will reach worldwide. The program will be covered by full scholarships and, thus, is at no cost to learners because of the philanthropic support undergirding the initiative.
“We are deeply grateful to INAmikro for championing this initiative and their commitment to ensuring quality education is accessible to all,” said Charla Griffy-Brown, director general and dean of Thunderbird. “Through this partnership, INAmikro is seizing a unique opportunity to help make a transformative impact on people’s lives for generations to come, starting with reaching learners in their own communities. Together, we can bridge educational gaps, foster innovation, and create a brighter future for learners everywhere.”
Thunderbird will offer three online educational programs in Indonesia for personal and professional development
with a special focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.
The Foundational program, which includes the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Bootcamp, is designed to promote the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit in learners and is available in over 20 different languages. The course focuses on global dynamics in this era of disruption and accelerated change and features topics necessary for the success of the entrepreneur in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Additionally, the program has been tailored to offer maximum flexibility, empowering entrepreneurial leaders and innovators with templates for starting global businesses, nonprofit organizations, and proven 21st century strategies for creating value through innovation in existing businesses in the private sectors, nonprofit, and public organizations.
All five courses in the Advanced program are available in English with additional languages to follow, courses in the Intermediate program will be available in the near future.
Debbie Sianturi, CEO of INAmikro highlights the importance of this agreement for the country/partner. “This partnership marks a pivotal moment for Indonesia as we work to bridge the digital and educational divide. By joining forces with Thunderbird and the Najafi 100 Million Learners Global Initiative, we are creating an unprecedented opportunity for millions of Indonesians, especially women and young people, to access world-class education and develop the skills necessary to thrive in today’s global economy.”
